SBMA - AdministrationThe Government of the Philippines tasked a corporate body that shall develop Subic Bay Freeport into a self-sustaining industrial, commercial, financial, and investment and academe center. The Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority, in compliance to the Sec. 13 of the Philippine Republic Act No. 7227, oversees all business operations around the Zone.SBMA's powers are exercised by its chairperson and 15 board members appointed by the President. Among these board members are two representatives from the national government, five from the private sector, and eight from local government units.
